A passenger intending to transit through India may apply for a transit visa for the sole purpose of enabling him/her to travel through India to a destination outside India.
Documents required:
Applicants may apply at: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in and complete the application online after carefully going through the instructions listed on the web page.
Take a print out of the duly filled online form and submit a signed copy.
Passport (with minimum 6 months validity and two blank pages) and photocopy.
Yellow fever certificate (original and photocopy).
NRC/Residency Permit (original and photocopy).
Two recent Passport size photographs. (see ‘Photograph Guidelines’).
Proof of confirmed reservations for onward journey from India. (original and photocopy)
